Fields of Poetry

I don't know how to love him
What to do, how to move him
I've been changed. Yes, really changed
In these past few days when I've seen myself
I seem like someone else . . .

My Adorable and Introverted Teddy Bear

My adorable and introverted Teddy Bear,
a Mr. with a top hat and a cane
sitting at my table on a Sunday afternoon
with a wooly smile and bits of loosened skein;
sipping tea
nervously,
with dainty hands in gloves of white,
I know ...
Why he hides
his face
in a mascot, oh!

I ...

am to blame ...

My adorable and introverted Teddy Bear,
I know now just how much he cares for me:
Longing to be in my sweet company,
he'd hide even his own identity!
So I wouldn't fear
Mr. Teddy Bear, oh dear!

Now I'm wondering, who can he be?

Tears in Words

For the Women ...

When men's pride are shredded
in a paper shredder,
by women who are stronger
with their clearer censor;
their hidden horns grow sharper
with a lost sense of character
forgetting that it was done for their own sake.

But woe not dear ladies
for you know better!
Treat kindly the gang
of sheer disorder.

If you want to survive the world of men.

What Really Matters

A little boy ran to his mother and cried
his friends at his school tore his stories and pride,
but his mother smiled and hugged him tight;
his mother smiled and hugged him tight,
"Leave them be, just continue to write
and everything will be all right."

So the little boy continued to write
and ignored the other kids and their silly little fights.
For what is more important than writing?
Angsty, nasty and desperate little kids are dwindling
his own capacity to indite
and become the greatest author the world has ever known.

Lessons Repeated #26

"Speak your truths quietly," they say,
"Use your anger in a healthy way."
No matter how others treat you
or speak ill of you,
try to understand from whence they came.

And if they misunderstood the source of your rage,
know that it was your own mistake.
Rage not amongst the rats and mice
for they will feast on what you've reaped in thrice.
Instead, tread with grace no matter how absurd
and good fortune, to you, will be returned.

Tears as Words

Tears fell as little droplets of letters
on a washi paper of clovers
